Object for the Public

A sculptural clock in the center of Salaspils. The design was inspired by the county's rich industrial heritage and diverse botanical garden. Combining both elements to create a narrative trough shape and material - the way clock bends towards people while encapsulating by matt copper sheets. The result is radical and contemporary proposal for the town's center. Urban planning and practicality defined the directions of which three clocks are facing the crossroads where it's located. As the practical element clock also monitors temperature.
